Taylor + Eric

Taylor and Eric have a beautiful story and it made capturing their proposal and engagement photos that much more special. They met and dated for only a while before Eric was deployed with the Air Force, to Afganistan. Through Skype, email and many calls their relationship blossomed and they are getting married at the end of October.

Technically, before the session Eric had yet to propose, as Taylor thought the ring was still being set and he couldn’t have it for at least another month, but because he lives in Utah and she lives here, they needed to do their session when he was in town.

Taylor was certainly surprised when Eric got down on one knee during their engagement session!

The love Eric and Taylor share was so evident. They could barely stop looking at each other and keep their hands off one  another. Throughout the entire session there was constant laughter, but mostly there was surprise and excitement, as Eric turned around right in the middle of our session with the ring in his hand and got down on his knee. Taylor was totally shocked and they were both so happy. Smiles never left their faces the rest of our session and I am sure the rest of the weekend.

Congratulations to this beautiful couple and Simply White Photo can’t wait for the wedding!

Emily + Jerod

Emily and Jerod’s engagement photos were taken last week in the 100+ degree temperatures and despite the heat they were completely unfazed and totally awesome. I had so much fun shooting them because their personalities were so complimentary of each other and I loved watching them interact with one another. He is the small (-ish) town kind of guy and she is a little city, but together they make a couple that you can see holding hands and smooching in public 50 years from now. Jerod joked about everything and throughout the whole session reminded Emily that he sure thought she was something with cute little compliments like that she had the most gorgeous green eyes or looked beautiful! Through the night Emily just laughed at his jokes and giggled and got all cute and sort of shy at his compliments. I just love seeing couples like Emily and Jerod that truly seem perfect. I just know that their wedding in September is going to an intimate, but so fun wedding and I can’t wait!!!

Ashley + Connor

A few weeks ago Ashley and Connor shared an intimate ceremony and reception in Snug Harbor at Southern Hills Country Club with their closest family and friends. The evening was laid back, stress free, and beautifully simple seeming to fit their personalities perfectly.

undefinedundefined

Their marriage was not just the joining of two people but of 3, and that was something that was extremely important to both Connor and Ashley from the start. When Caroline, Connor’s daughter, arrived she was in awe of the stunning bride and was even more awed when they presented her with her very own ring before the ceremony.

undefinedundefinedundefined Ashley wore a stunning Oscar De La Renta gown adorned with large gauzy flowers and gorgeous glittery stilettos.  She and her closest friends had makeup done by Jennifer Siddiki at J. Lea Makeup and hair by Candace Due at Parlour Salon.

Despite the hit or miss rain throughout the night, Mother Nature was on their side, holding off at just the right times allowing the ceremony to go off without a hitch. The ceremony, which took place on a tented balcony, was elegantly set with simple white chairs as well as white floral arrangements by Toni’s Flowers. When it came time for Ashley and Connor to exchanged rings, Caroline joined them up front to present the rings and share in this special time also bringing with her many smiles and laughs.

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined After the ceremony guests went inside for cocktails and dinner. There was an extremely clever array of “kid friendly” fare on one side of the room and a delicious “adult” spread of freshly rolled sushi and Asian inspired snacks on the other side. They had even designated an area for the young guests to lounge on beanbags, eat and watch movies. To top things off there was a delicious tower of vanilla, strawberry and chocolate cupcakes by Foodie Biz as well as a huge icecream sundae bar that had the guests going crazy!

undefined Once everyone had their fill of delicious food, the toasts, dancing and fun ensued! Ashley and Connor did an amazing job on their choreographed first dance, causing a room full of onlookers to hoot and holler as they owned the floor. There was no shortage of crazy moves, loud singing and echoing laughter by guests either as everyone made their way to the dance floor at one time or another.

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined Finally, the bride and groom made their exit with family and friends waving giant sparklers in celebration of their beautiful marriage!

undefinedundefined Congratulations!

Linda + Bill

Linda Morris and Bill French were married February 12th at the beautiful Harwelden Mansion. It was an intimate affair shared with only their closest family and friends, who were as delighted and overjoyed about their special day as the bride and groom themselves. Everything about the evening was simple, classic, elegant and perfect.

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedThere was no hiding their emotion when Linda and Bill saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. Both had tears in their eyes! Bill couldn’t stop staring and gushing at his stunning bride and Linda was all smiles! undefinedundefinedundefinedLinda and Bill got their wish of marrying at sunset, and what a sunset it was! The sun radiated through every window of the mansion making all the rooms (and the bride and groom) glow.undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedFrom her fitted ivory gown to the cream colored tulips no detail was over looked or without meaning. Linda wanted everything to be special so she only  chose her favorite flowers, her daughter and daughters boyfriend spent hours making the wedding cake themselves and she used Just Catering by Orr, a family friend, to create a spectacular feast as well as to help with the wedding coodination.undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedDave and the Wavetones, got everyone on the dance floor and kept them there well into the night. Although Linda and Bill’s kids tried to keep up on the dance floor, Bill definitely owned the night with his stellar dance moves and enthusiasm.

undefinedundefinedundefinedThe joining of two families in such an intimate setting and seeing the happiness of all who shared in the celebration was priceless! This evening was absolutely a night to remember. – Lauren
