Rockstar Birthday Party

Come on down to the Five Oaks Lodge for the hottest birthday party of the year… Chris is turning 60! As a throwback to the birthday boy’s glory days, the whole night was complete with a “rock star” theme, including backstage passes and a merchandise table with gifts for the guests.

To start things off, our photographers worked with several vendors to setup a red carpet outside the event. These “step-and-repeat” photo ops are a great way to capture every guest as they arrive and are increasingly popular at wedding receptions as well. Believe it or not, these retro light stands were originally used in the set of “I Love Lucy”!

The guest of honor arrived in a limo at 7 p.m. and the party begun! The whole venue was decked out in picture-perfect “back stage” paraphernalia, and Magpie Events did a fabulous job creating a unique and memorable vibe. The chairs, kegs, custom chalk art, and old instruments may have looked thrown together, but they were all placed with meticulous care.

Other highlights of the evening included a cigar bar, centerpieces signed by actual famous musicians, a 60-pound guitar amp cake by FrOsten’s, and incredible live music all night long by the Jumpshots. The guest of honor actually jumped right in to shred alongside the band on his own guitar!
